Location/Decor: calm old building in the old town center. Small space with low ceilings.
Service: Untrained but nice brazilian staff.
Food: Japanese. Mostly sushi.
Wine list: Not used.
Owned by a local celebrity- the lead singer of the band Mão Morta - which can often be seen in place this is currently the only japanese restaurant in Braga. 2 others have unsucessfully tried their lucky before and have now closed down. The menu is centered in Sushi, although some other dishes are listed. Several visits were made.
What I had:
Several different sushi- All extremely fresh, well executed and very tasty. Sushi man not on view.
Temaki- the big fat mouth filling Temakis are excellent.
Tempura - As I said I set my standards very high in tempura. This one is heavy and thick and not tasty. Do they think they are frying potatos? Portions are very small.
Verdict:
This is clearly a place to go for Sushi and they made it excellently. Any other japanese dishes can be eaten elsewhere with better results.
